Paws N Claws Grooming employs extensive safety and sanitary precautions to ensure your pets’ safety and health. Despite reasonable and prudent efforts, some pets may experience common side effects of the grooming process, including but not limited to clipper irritation (otherwise referred to as "clipper burn"), exposure of the quick, reactions to flea treatments and de-shedding dip treatments, hair splinters, and sharp nails (after clipping). By signing this agreement, you (the client) agree to relieve Paws N Claws Grooming, and its agents from any and all liabilities, and/or costs associated with any veterinary care, symptoms or discomfort of your pet related to or presenting after services rendered by Paws N Claws Grooming. The pursuit of any veterinary, behavioral, or rehabilitation services, and the payment there of, is the sole responsibility of the pet owner. Additionally, you agree to relieve Paws N Claws Grooming and its agents from any and all liability associated with damages to person, pet, or property by or relating to services rendered or service equipment used by Paws N Claws Grooming and its agents.
PRICING: ALL haircut/bath prices based on a 4–6-week grooming schedule and in good coat condition. Price increases will apply for length of time since last grooming, matting, fleas, behavior, etc. Paws N Claws reserves the right to alter pricing as needed to account for cost increases (i.e., rent, utilities, supplies, payroll etc.) without notice. Additionally, Paws N Claws reserves the right to charge additional fees for services we consider over and above the norm covered by our standard rates.
EXPRESS GROOMS: All express/cage free grooms will be subjected to a fee, small dogs $20, medium dogs $25, large dogs $30 and XL dogs $35 – fee is PER pet. The owner must be available for pick-up immediately upon groom completion. Express grooms MUST be booked in advance and are subject to groomers’ discretion. i.e.: typically, no cats, excessively large breeds, excessively hairy breeds, matted dogs, busy days, etc.
PAYMENT: Paws N Claws does NOT accept checks personal or business. Cash, Visa, MasterCard, and Discover are accepted. A $5 fee will be applied to any over-the-phone payments. ALL services must be paid for by or at the time of pick up. Failure to pay will result in holding of the pet until services are paid in full. Overnight charges WILL apply if payment is not received by the end of the business day (please see overnight/abandoned pet section)
CANCELLATION: 24-hour notice must be given when cancelling an appointment. This allows Paws N Claws adequate time to fill the appointment slot. This includes appointments booked the day of the appointment. Failure to provide 24-hour notice will be considered a no call no show and no-show policies as outlined below will be in effect.
NO CALL/NO SHOW: No call/no show fees will be charged as outlined below. All no call/no show fees must be paid PRIOR to booking the next appointment. Uncontrollable and emergency circumstances will be taken into consideration at the discretion of Paws N Claws staff. Although Paws N Claws may send appointment reminders, it is the owner's responsibility to remember appointments. Paws N Claws is NOT responsible for reminding customers of appointments. Please understand that our groomers are paid on commission, no call no show appointments directly affect their paychecks as well as the facility. NO CALL/NO SHOW FEES: Haircuts First offense: $30 fee PER pet will be charged. Second offense: 50% of the booked services cost will be charged. Third and beyond offenses: 100% of the booked service cost will be charged. Bath & De-sheds First offense: $25 fee PER pet will be charged. Second offense: 50% of the booked services cost will be charged. Third and beyond offenses: 100% of the booked service cost will be charged ( these apply to all scheduled pets).
LATE PICK-UP: After hours pick-up will be charged $1 per minute STARTING 10 MINITES after closing time up to 45 minutes after closing time. Any pet left more than 45 minutes after closing will be considered an overnight/abandoned pet and will be charged as such. (Closing time is 5:30pm Monday-Friday, 3:30pm Saturday unless otherwise posted or notified)
OVERNIGHT/ABANDONED PETS: Paws N Claws is NOT a boarding facility. All pets must be picked up by the designated closing time (typically 5:30pm Monday-Friday and 3:30pm Saturday) or the account will be charged $75 per night. If a pet is not called for/picked up within 10 days, Paws N Claws will dispose of the pet as they see fit (typically by finding pet a good home) within 10 days of this period. ONE notification will be sent during this time via certified mail. No other notice will be provided.
MATTED PET(s): PLEASE SEE our Matted Pet Release Form, both forms Must be filled out on matted Pet(s)
There is an additional charge for de-matting services starting at as low as $15 and as high $90 for small and medium dogs and $20 as high as $120 for large and XL Dogs *PRICES ARE BASED ON SEVERITY, SIZE, TIME NEEDED and, in most cases, we don’t know exactly until we start to work on your pet. Paws N Claws reserves the right to charge additional fees for services we consider over and above the norm covered by our standard rates. Price increases will apply for matting, fleas, behavior, etc. so all prices on the phone, online, email, or in person are ONLY an estimate only until all services are rendered.
FLEAS/TICKS: If pet(s) are found to have fleas at any point during the grooming process, pet(s) will be treated, and account will be charged as such. Paws N Claws uses a flea and tick shampoo designed to eradicate any live fleas but is NOT intended to be used as a preventative thus owner will need to pair it with a preventative to fully rid the pet of fleas. If the pet is so flea/tick ridden that it poses a threat to the pet’s health, Paws N Claws reserves the right to refuse service. *Additional fees apply for small & medium dogs $10, large for $12, XL 15. Cats $12
COUPONS: Coupons/offers cannot be combined or stacked. Limit to one use per household/family/account. Coupons cannot be used on “special pricing” clients/grooms. Coupons are only good on groom/bath/de-shed packages and are not applicable to walk in nail trims, face trims, etc. Unless otherwise noted coupons expire 30 days after printed date. All coupons/offers are subject to change without notice. Paws N Claws is not responsible for misprints or third-party web addresses. NO coupons have cash value associated with them. Print ads or ads requiring printouts must be presented at check-out. Other ads must be mentioned at checkout. Paws N Claws is not responsible for missed coupons due to forgetting to ask for them or present them. NO refunds will be provided for missed or forgotten coupons.
BELONGINGS: Paws N Claws is not responsible for items lost, broken, chewed etc. as items are left at the risk of the owner. This includes but is not limited to leashes, collars, bedding etc. Additionally, the owner agrees to be responsible for any property damage caused by pet(s).
INJURED/ILL PET: If pet is hurt or becomes ill, Paws N Claws has permission to call or take pet to veterinarian of our choice if pet's vet is inaccessible, or give other advisable attention, within our discretion and judgment. Such expenses will be paid promptly by the owner or responsible party unless the injury is a direct result of negligence of Paws N Claws. We will not be held responsible for any sickness or injury caused by the pet to itself during grooming. Paws N Claws is not responsible for any accidental death of pet due to pre-existing health condition(s), or natural disasters (fire, storm, flood, etc.). Paws N Claws will not be held responsible for clipper irritation/clipper burn and/or minor nicks resulting from grooming of matted, neglected coats OR for irritation caused by removing coat from pets possessing mild to severe skin allergy. Paws N Claws will not be held responsible for clipper irritation resulting from shaving pets-the owner takes responsibility for the inherent risk of skin irritation when/where clippers are used. Paws N Claws will not be held responsible for skin reactions to shampoo. Nor will we be held responsible for stress effects grooming may have upon a pet. Paws N Claws must be notified within 48 hours of any claims by the owner regarding compensation for medical attention sought as a result of alleged negligence on our part. In the event Paws N Claws disputes the owner's claim, we will personally consult the attending veterinarian prior to settling any claim.
PHOTOGRAPHS: By allowing Paws N Claws to care for pets, the owner authorizes Paws N Claws to take and utilize pet photographs. This includes use for advertising, Facebook, Twitter, newspapers, website, flyers, coupons, etc. No notice or compensation will be given for use of photographs.
Please Note: Paws N Claws reserves the right to deny/refuse service to any pet posing an unnecessary risk to themselves, the facility, or our groomers. Paws N Claws also reserves the right to refuse service to customers whose pet may pose a threat to us or to the other pets left in our care, whether it be due to an aggression problem, health problem, or parasite problems (other than fleas)
Paws N Claws reserves the right to change or modify our policies without prior notice, any future updates to our policies will be updated on our web page at PawsNClawsgrooming.net under tab marked GROOMERS' RELEASE FORM & POLICIES, it is the sole responsibility of each client to check this site for updates or to check in the store for a copy of changes to this GROOMERS' RELEASE FORM.
